New Results on Xi0 Hyperon Decays
Rainer Wanke

TL;DR
This paper reports new measurements of the Xi0 hyperon decay properties, including lifetime, decay asymmetries, and semileptonic decay rates, based on over 2 billion decays, providing insights into hyperon decay dynamics and CKM matrix elements.
Contribution
It presents the first comprehensive set of measurements of Xi0 decay parameters using large data samples, offering new data for hyperon decay analysis and CKM matrix extraction.
Findings
Measured Xi0 lifetime and decay asymmetries.
Determined semileptonic decay rates of Xi0.
Extracted the CKM matrix element |V_us| from hyperon decays.
Abstract
In the recent years many new measurements of the decay of the neutral Xi0 hyperon have been reported both by the NA48/1 and the KTeV collaboration. The results are based on data samples of more than 2 billion Xi0 decays. In this report new measurements of the Xi0 lifetime, decay asymmetries, and semileptonic decay rates are presented. The latter allow the extraction of the CKM matrix element |V_us|, complementary to kaon decays.
