Insights into top quark production mechanisms
Abstract
The collider Tevatron, with its high center of mass energy of 2 TeV is presently the unique top quark factory in the world. Thousands of top-quarks have been produced during Run IIa. This gives the opportunity to study the production and the properties of the heaviest known fundamental particle. This article will summarize a sample of recent top quark physics results obtained at the Tevatron.
