Branching fraction measurement of B0 --> D(*)- pi+, B- --> D(*)0 pi- and isospin analysis of B --> D(*) pi decays
The BABAR Collaboration, B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This paper measures branching fractions of specific B meson decays and performs an isospin analysis to investigate final-state interactions, providing insights into strong phase differences in B to D(*) pi decays.
Contribution
It provides precise measurements of B meson decay branching fractions and determines strong phase differences, revealing evidence of final-state interactions in B to D(*) pi decays.
Findings
Branching fractions for B0 and B- decays to D(*) pi measured with statistical and systematic errors.
Cosines of strong phase differences are close to 1, indicating significant final-state interactions.
Results support the presence of final-state interactions in the D pi system.
Abstract
Using 65 million events collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II storage ring at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center, we measure the color-favored branching fractions , , and , where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. With these results and the current world average for the branching fraction for the color-suppressed decay , the cosines of the strong phase difference between the and isospin amplitudes are determined to be $ \cos \delta =…
