A. Abulencia et al. (CDF Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper sets a new upper limit on the V+A current fraction in top quark decays using collider data, improving previous constraints and analyzing W boson polarization through decay product invariant mass.
Contribution
First direct measurement of V+A current fraction in top decay with improved upper limit using collider data and decay product analysis.
Findings
Upper limit on $f_{V+A}$ is 0.29 at 95% confidence level.
Measured $f_{V+A}$ as -0.06 ± 0.25, consistent with Standard Model.
Analysis improves previous direct limits by a factor of two.
Abstract
We report an upper limit on the fraction of V+A current, , in top quark decays, using approximately 700 pb of collisions at =1.96 TeV acquired by the upgraded Collider Detector at Fermilab. For the decay (where or ), the invariant mass of the charged lepton and the bottom quark jet is sensitive to the polarization of the boson. We determine given a top quark mass of 175 GeV/. We set an upper limit on of 0.29 at the 95% confidence level, which represents an improvement by a factor of two on the previous best direct limit.
