TL;DR
This paper measures inclusive meson production rates at the Upsilon(5S) resonance and determines the fraction of B_s^{(*)}B_s^{(*)} pairs among all bar{b} events, providing insights into bottomonium decay dynamics.
Contribution
It provides the first measurement of inclusive $D_s$, $D^0$, and $J/\psi$ production rates at the Upsilon(5S) and estimates the $B_s^{(*)}ar{B}_s^{(*)}$ production fraction in a model-dependent manner.
Findings
Measured branching fractions for Upsilon(5S) decays to $D_s$, $D^0$, and $J/\psi$.
Estimated the $f_s$ fraction of $B_s^{(*)}ar{B}_s^{(*)}$ in $bar{b}$ events.
Provided data to improve understanding of bottomonium decay channels.
Abstract
The inclusive production of , , and mesons is studied using a 1.86 fb data sample collected on the (5S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy collider. The number of events in the (5S) data sample is determined. We measure the branching fractions , }, and . From the and inclusive branching fractions the ratio } of to the total quark pair production at the (5S) energy is obtained in a model-dependent way.
