Thomas Schoerner-Sadenius (Hamburg University)

TL;DR
This paper presents a new measurement of inclusive-jet and dijet cross-sections in high-Q2 deep-inelastic scattering at HERA, showing good agreement with NLO QCD predictions within uncertainties.
Contribution
It provides precise measurements of jet cross-sections in a specific kinematic regime, testing and confirming NLO QCD calculations in high-Q2 DIS.
Findings
Measured cross-sections agree with NLO QCD within uncertainties
Data covers Q^2 > 125 GeV^2 and specific angular range
Results support the validity of perturbative QCD in this regime
Abstract
A new ZEUS measurement of inclusive-jet and dijet cross-sections in the Breit frame performed in deep-inelastic ep scattering data is presented. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of about 82 and are resctricted to the kinematic regime 125 and -0.650.65, where is the photon virtuality and corresponds to the polar angle of the hadronic system. The cross-sections are measured as functions of various kinematic and jet observables and are compared to NLO QCD calculations which describe the data well within all uncertainties.
