The BABAR Collaboration, B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This paper reports the first observation of $e^+e^-$ annihilations into positive $C$-parity hadronic states $ ho^0 ho^0$ and $ ho^0$, measuring their cross sections and suggesting two-virtual-photon annihilation as the production mechanism.
Contribution
The study presents the first experimental evidence of $e^+e^-$ annihilations into $C=+1$ hadronic states $ ho^0 ho^0$ and $ ho^0$, with measured cross sections.
Findings
First observation of $e^+e^-$ annihilation into $C=+1$ states
Measured cross sections: 20.7 fb for $ ho^0 ho^0$, 5.7 fb for $ ho^0$
Production likely via two-virtual-photon annihilation
Abstract
We report the first observation of annihilations into states of positive -parity, namely and . The two states are observed in the and final states, respectively, in a data sample of 225~ collected by the ~experiment at the storage rings at energies near 10.58~. The distributions of , where is the center-of-mass polar angle of the meson or the forward meson, suggest production by two-virtual-photon annihilation. We measure cross sections within the range of and .
