Jet Measurements and Determination of \alpha_S at HERA
Ch. Wissing

TL;DR
This paper reports on measurements of the strong coupling constant _S at HERA using jet and event shape observables, showing consistency with other measurements and the world average.
Contribution
It presents new determinations of _S from jet and event shape data in deep inelastic scattering at HERA, contributing to precision tests of QCD.
Findings
_S measurements agree with other inclusive results
Results are consistent with the world average _S value
Jet observables provide reliable _S determinations
Abstract
The strong coupling constant \alpha_S can be measured in deep inelastic ep scattering by employing various methods. Recent results on the extraction of \alpha_S using jet and event shape observables are presented. The results are found to be in good agreement with other more inclusive measurements and the world average value.
