Measurement of the DA$\Phi$NE luminosity with the KLOE detector using large angle Bhabha scattering
KLOE Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper presents a precise method for measuring the integrated luminosity of the DAΦNE collider using large angle Bhabha scattering events detected by KLOE, achieving an accuracy of 0.6%.
Contribution
It introduces a luminosity measurement technique that combines experimental event counting with detailed theoretical cross section calculations including radiative corrections.
Findings
Luminosity measured with 0.6% accuracy.
Systematic errors contribute 0.3%, theoretical uncertainties 0.5%.
Method effectively normalizes Bhabha scattering events to cross section calculations.
Abstract
We describe the method of measuring the integrated luminosity of the collider DANE, the Frascati factory. The measurement is done with the KLOE detector selecting large angle Bhabha scattering events and normalizing them to the effective cross section. The cross section is calculated using different event generators which account for the radiative initial and final state corrections, and the resonance contribution. The accuracy of the measurement is 0.6%, where 0.3% comes from systematic errors related to the event counting and 0.5% from theoretical evaluations of the cross section.
