Measurement of chi_cJ Decays to 2(pi^+pi^-)ppbar Final States
M. Ablikim, et al. (BES Collab.)

TL;DR
This paper measures the decay rates of chi_cJ particles into specific four-body final states involving pions and protons, using a large dataset from the BESII detector, to understand their decay mechanisms.
Contribution
It provides the first measurements of branching ratios or upper limits for chi_cJ decays into these particular final states, expanding knowledge of charmonium decay channels.
Findings
Branching ratios or upper limits for chi_cJ decays into Xi+Xi-, Lambda Lambdabar pi+ pi-, and K_S K_S p pbar.
Observation of intermediate states in chi_cJ decays.
Enhanced understanding of charmonium decay dynamics.
Abstract
Using chi_cJ -> 2(\pi^+\pi^-) ppbar decays from 14 \times 10^6 psi(2S) events accumulated by the BESII detector at the BEPC, the intermediate states Xi^+Xi^-, Lambda Lambdabar pi^+ pi^-, and K_SK_S p pbar are studied, and their branching ratios or upper limits are measured.
