Combination of CDF and D0 Results on the W-Boson Width
The Tevatron Electroweak Working Group

TL;DR
This paper summarizes combined measurements of the W-boson width from Tevatron experiments CDF and DØ, providing a preliminary average value with detailed uncertainty analysis based on data from 1992 to 2006.
Contribution
It presents the first combined analysis of W-boson width measurements from multiple Tevatron runs, properly accounting for correlated uncertainties.
Findings
Preliminary Tevatron average for W-boson width: 2078 ± 87 MeV
Total error includes statistical (62 MeV) and systematic (60 MeV) uncertainties
Combines results from Run I and Run II data sets.
Abstract
The results on the direct measurements of the W-boson width, based on the data collected by the Tevatron experiments CDF and D{\O}at Fermilab during {\RunI} from 1992 to 1996 and {\RunII} since 2001 are summarized. The combination of the published {\RunI} and preliminary {\RunII} results, taking correlated uncertainties properly into account, is presented. The resulting preliminary Tevatron average for the total decay width of the W boson is: , where the total error consists of a statistical part of and a systematic part of .
