Study of Charmonium Decays into Baryon-Antibaryon Pairs
K. Abe, et al. (for the Belle Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper investigates baryonic decays of B mesons into charmonium states and baryon-antibaryon pairs, measuring polarization, angular distributions, and the first observation of a specific decay mode, using Belle detector data.
Contribution
It provides new measurements of baryonic charmonium decays, including the first observation of $ ext{eta}_c o ext{Lambda}ar{ ext{Lambda}}$, and analyzes polarization and angular distributions in B decays.
Findings
Measured branching fraction of $ ext{eta}_c o ext{Lambda}ar{ extLambda}$
Analyzed polarization and angular distributions of baryon pairs
First observation of $ ext{eta}_c o ext{Lambda}ar{ extLambda}$ decay
Abstract
We study the baryonic charmonium decays of mesons, and , where and subsequently decay into a or pair. The charmonium produced in the above meson decays is fully polarized. The polar angular distributions of the baryon-antibaryon pairs are presented, along with fit results to a parametrization. Comparisons are made with the results from formation experiments. We also report the firstobservation of . The measured branching fraction is . This study is based on a data sample recorded on the resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider.
