Measurement of Exclusive $B \to X_u \ell \nu$ Decays with $D^{(*)} \ell \nu$ Decay Tagging
K. Abe, et al. (for the Belle Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper measures the branching fractions of exclusive charmless semileptonic B decays using D(*)lν decay tagging, providing data crucial for determining the CKM matrix element V_{ub} with high purity.
Contribution
It introduces a method to measure B to pi/rho lν decays with D(*)lν tagging, improving purity and precision over previous approaches.
Findings
Measured branching fractions for B to pi/rho lν decays.
Provided partial branching fractions in three q^2 intervals.
Extracted the magnitude of V_{ub} from the results.
Abstract
We report a measurement of the charmless semileptonic decays and , based on 253 fb of data collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric collider. In this analysis, the accompanying meson is reconstructed in the semileptonic mode , enabling detection of the signal modes with high purity. We measure the branching fractions , , and , where the errors are statistical, experimental systematic, and systematic due to form-factor…
