Measurement of the branching fraction and decay rate asymmetry of B- --> D_{pi+pi-pi0}K-
The BABAR Collaboration, B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This paper reports the first measurement of the branching fraction and decay rate asymmetry of the decay B- to D_{pi+pi-pi0} K- using BaBar data, providing insights into the CKM phase gamma.
Contribution
It provides the first experimental measurement of the branching fraction and asymmetry for this specific B decay mode, aiding in CKM phase determination.
Findings
Branching fraction measured as (5.5 ± 1.0 (stat.) ± 0.7 (syst.))×10^{-6}
Decay rate asymmetry measured as 0.02 ± 0.16 (stat.) ± 0.03 (syst.)
Observation of the decay channel with statistical significance.
Abstract
We report the observation of the decay , where indicates a neutral meson detected in the final state , excluding . This doubly Cabibbo-suppressed decay chain can be used to measure the CKM phase . Using about 229 million events recorded by the BaBar experiment at the PEP-II storage ring, we measure the branching fraction and the decay rate asymmetry for the full decay chain.
