Measurement of the $B^0\to D^{\ast-} D_s^{\ast+}$ and $D_s^+\to\phi\pi^+$ Branching Fractions
B. Aubert, et al. (BaBar Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports precise measurements of the branching fractions for the decays $B^0 o D^{ ext{*}-} D_s^{ ext{*}+}$ and $D_s^+ o ext{phi} ext{pi}^+$ using data from the BaBar detector, employing partial and full reconstruction techniques.
Contribution
It provides the first model-independent determination of the $D_s^+ o ext{phi} ext{pi}^+$ branching fraction through combined measurements.
Findings
Measured $ ext{BR}(B^0 o D^{ ext{*}-} D_s^{ ext{*}+}) = (1.88 \pm 0.09 ext{(stat)} ext{+} 0.17 ext{(syst)}) ext{ extperthousand}$
Measured $ ext{BR}(D_s^+ o ext{phi} ext{pi}^+) = (4.81 \pm 0.52 ext{(stat)} ext{+} 0.38 ext{(syst)}) ext{ extperthousand}$
Utilized partial reconstruction for $B^0$ decay and full reconstruction for $D_s^+$ decay.
Abstract
We present measurements of the branching fractions and , based on Y(4S)->BBbar decays collected by the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory. A partial reconstruction technique is used to measure and the decay chain is fully reconstructed to measure the branching fraction product . Comparing these two measurements provides a model-independent determination of the \Dsphipi\ branching fraction. We obtain and , where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic.
