TL;DR
This paper analyzes specific B meson decays into narrow P-wave charm resonances using data from the BaBar detector, providing insights relevant to Heavy Quark Effective Theory.
Contribution
It presents the first study of these particular B meson decay modes with a large dataset, contributing to understanding charm resonance properties.
Findings
Observation of decay modes involving D2* and D1 resonances
Preliminary measurements of branching fractions
Implications for Heavy Quark Effective Theory
Abstract
We report on a study of mesons decaying into one of the narrow P-wave charm resonances, and . Our preliminary results are based on 89 million \BB pairs collected with the \babar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric Factory. Our study will be useful in the investigation of the properties of Heavy Quark Effective Theory.
