TL;DR
This paper reports the first experimental observation of deuteron spin dichroism in the 6-20 MeV energy range using a carbon target, providing new insights into spin-dependent nuclear interactions.
Contribution
It presents the first experimental detection of deuteron spin dichroism at energies up to 20 MeV, expanding understanding of spin effects in nuclear physics.
Findings
Observation of deuteron spin dichroism in 6-20 MeV range
Experimental values measured for deuterons passing through carbon
First report of this phenomenon in this energy region
Abstract
The first observation of the phenomenom of deuteron spin dichroism in the energy region of 6-20 MeV is described. Experimental values of this effect for deuterons after passage of an unpolarized carbon target are reported.
