TL;DR
This paper investigates the azimuthal angular substructures of particles produced in heavy ion collisions, revealing nonstatistical ring-like patterns in the azimuthal distribution of particles.
Contribution
It reports the discovery and characterization of nonstatistical ring-like azimuthal substructures in heavy ion collision events, a novel observation in this context.
Findings
Identification of ring-like azimuthal structures
Parameters of the substructures determined
Evidence of nonstatistical patterns in particle production
Abstract
The angular substructures of particles produced in 208Pb at 158 A GeV/c and 197Au at 11.6 A GeV/c induced interactions with Ag(Br) nuclei in emulsion detector have been investigated. Nonstatistical ring-like substructures of produced particles in azimuthal plane of a collision have been found and their parameters have been determined.
