Thomas E. Coan

TL;DR
This paper reports initial results from the CLEO-c experiment at the Psi(3770) resonance, measuring charm meson decay constants and branching fractions to improve understanding of charm and B physics.
Contribution
First measurements of D meson decay constants and branching fractions at the charm threshold energy from CLEO-c data.
Findings
Measured D+ decay constant f_D+
Determined D-meson hadronic branching fractions
Collected 57 pb^-1 data at Psi(3770)
Abstract
The CLEO-c detector at CESR has begun to collect large data sets of events in the center-of-mass energy range GeV that will greatly enhance the size of the world's data sets of events produced at charm threshold. Preliminary results for the pseudoscalar decay constant and absolute D-meson hadronic branching fractions from an initial integrated luminosity collected at are described. These charm measurements are also relevant for B physics.
