Evidence for B^(*)_s Production at the Upsilon(5S)
R. Sia (for the CLEO Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper provides the first evidence of significant B_s meson production at the Upsilon(5S) resonance, using decay properties to distinguish B_s from lighter B mesons, and estimates the production ratio at about 21%.
Contribution
It presents the first experimental evidence of B_s meson production at the Upsilon(5S) resonance and estimates its production ratio, advancing understanding of bottomonium decay properties.
Findings
Evidence of substantial B_s production at Upsilon(5S)
Estimated B_s production ratio is approximately 21%
Supports decay property differences between B_s and lighter B mesons
Abstract
Based on data collected by the CLEO III detector at CESR, we started a series of investigations to open the mysteries of the (5S) resonance decay properties. mesons are expected to decay predominantly into meson, while the lighter mesons decay into only about 10% of the time. We exploit this difference to present the first evidence of a substantial production of mesons at the (5S) resonance. We make here a preliminary model dependent estimate of the ratio of to the total quark pair production at the (5S) energy to be %.
