K. Abe, et al. (for the Belle Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports a measurement of the inclusive charmless semileptonic B meson decay rate using full reconstruction tagging, providing a new determination of |V_{ub}| with reduced uncertainties.
Contribution
It introduces a novel analysis technique employing full B meson reconstruction to measure the inclusive charmless semileptonic branching fraction and extract |V_{ub}|.
Findings
Measured partial branching fraction in specific kinematic region.
Extrapolated to full phase space to determine total branching fraction.
Derived |V_{ub}| value with comprehensive uncertainty analysis.
Abstract
We present a preliminary measurement of the inclusive charmless semileptonic branching fraction of the B meson, based on of data collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric collider. Events are tagged by fully reconstructing one of the B mesons, produced in pairs from . The signal for semileptonic decay is distinguished from the semileptonic background using the hadronic and leptonic invariant mass distributions and . We find the partial branching fraction for the kinematical region given by and , . Using a theoretical prediction for the extrapolation to the full range of and variables, we obtain ${\cal{B}}(B \to X_u \ell \nu) =…
