A Search for B --> tau nu Recoiling against B --> D*0 l nu
B. Aubert, et al, BABAR Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports a search for the rare decay $B^{+} o au^{+} u_{ au}$ using data from the BABAR detector, setting upper limits on its branching fraction due to no observed signal.
Contribution
First search for $B^{+} o au^{+} u_{ au}$ in recoil against semi-leptonic B decays, providing the most stringent upper limits to date.
Findings
No evidence of the decay was observed.
Upper limit on branching fraction: $4.3 imes 10^{-4}$ at 90% CL.
Combined limit from multiple analyses: $3.3 imes 10^{-4}$ at 90% CL.
Abstract
We present a search for the decay in decays recorded with the detector at the SLAC PEP-II -Factory. A sample of events with one reconstructed exclusive semi-leptonic B decay () is selected, and in the recoil a search for signal is performed. The is identified in the following channels: , , , , . We find no evidence of signal, and we set a preliminary upper limit on the branching fraction of at the 90% confidence level (CL). This result is then combined with…
