Scaling violations of quark and gluon jet fragmentation functions in e+e- annihilations
Marek Tasevsky

TL;DR
This paper measures quark and gluon jet fragmentation functions in e+e- annihilations at different energies, revealing how these functions vary with energy and jet bias, contributing to understanding jet fragmentation processes.
Contribution
It provides new measurements of flavor inclusive, udsc, b, and gluon fragmentation functions at multiple energies, including biased and unbiased jets, using OPAL data.
Findings
Fragmentation functions vary with energy and jet bias.
First measurements of gluon fragmentation functions at these energies.
Data supports models of jet fragmentation in e+e- collisions.
Abstract
Flavour inclusive, udsc and b fragmentation functions in biased and unbiased jets and gluon fragmentation functions in biased jets are measured in e+e- annihilations using OPAL data collected at energies Ecms = 91.2 and 183-209 GeV.
