Contribution
It provides a comprehensive summary of top quark measurements and analysis techniques at the Tevatron, highlighting their significance for new physics searches.
Findings
Precise measurements of top quark mass and cross sections.
Analysis methodologies of CDF and D0 collaborations.
Future prospects with increased data in Run-II.
Abstract
Measurements of the top quark mass and the t-tbar and single top production cross sections, obtained by CDF and D0 Collaboration at the Tevatron, are presented. The methodology of the CDF and D0 analyses and their underlying assumptions are summarized. In anticipation of the increased amount of data in Run-II, prospects are presented. The fact that top quark analyses are among the best windows to new physics beyond the Standard Model is emphasized.
