TL;DR
This paper reports a precise determination of the CKM matrix element |V_cb| and related parameters using BABAR data through measurements of inclusive semileptonic B decays and a global fit to Heavy-Quark-Expansion calculations.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive analysis combining multiple measurements and a global fit to extract |V_cb| and related parameters with high precision.
Findings
Precise value of |V_cb| obtained
Determination of heavy-quark masses m_b and m_c
Extraction of non-perturbative parameters
Abstract
The CKM matrix element amplitude |V_cb| was determined using the data collected by the BABAR detector. The partial branching fraction, lepton-energy moments, and hadron-mass moments were measured in inclusive semileptonic decays B -> X_c l nu. A global fit to a Heavy-Quark-Expansion calculation allowed precise determination of |V_cb|, m_b, m_c, B(B -> X_c l nu) and four non-perturbative parameters.
