Study of the decay B0(B0bar)-->rho+rho-, and constraints on the CKM angle alpha
B. Aubert, et al (for the BABAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
This study measures the decay rate and polarization of B0 to rho+ rho- decays, providing data to constrain the CKM angle alpha, using a large dataset from the BaBar experiment.
Contribution
It provides the first precise measurements of branching fraction, polarization, and CP asymmetries for B0 to rho+ rho- decays, constraining the CKM angle alpha.
Findings
Branching fraction: (30 ± 4 (stat) ± 5 (syst)) x 10^{-6}
Longitudinal polarization fraction: 0.99 ± 0.03 (stat) +0.04/-0.03 (syst)
CP asymmetry parameters: C_L = -0.17 ± 0.27 (stat) ± 0.14 (syst), S_L = -0.42 ± 0.42 (stat) ± 0.14 (syst)
Abstract
Using a data sample of 89 million Y(4s)-->B0B0bar decays collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric B Factory at SLAC, we measure the B0(B0bar)-->rho+rho- branching fraction as and a longitudinal polarization fraction of . We measure the time-dependent-asymmetry parameters of the longitudinally polarized component of this decay as and . We present constraints on the CKM angle .
