Measurement of the Ratio of Decay Amplitudes for B0bar -> J/psi K*0 and B0 -> J/psi K*0
B. Aubert, et al, BABAR Collaboration

TL;DR
This study measures decay amplitude ratios in B meson decays to J/psi K*0, testing Standard Model predictions with data from BaBar, and sets upper limits on these ratios at 90% confidence level.
Contribution
First measurement of decay amplitude ratios for B0 and B0bar decays to J/psi K*0 using time-dependent analysis at BaBar.
Findings
Decay amplitude ratios are constrained to be less than 0.26 and 0.32 at 90% C.L.
Results are consistent with Standard Model expectations.
Upper limit of 0.25 at 90% C.L. for combined wrong-flavor to favored amplitude ratio.
Abstract
We have measured the time-dependent decay rate for the process in a sample of about 88 million decays collected with the BaBar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy Factory at SLAC. In this sample we study flavor-tagged events in which one neutral meson is reconstructed in the or final state. We measure the coefficients of the cosine and sine terms in the time-dependent asymmetries for and , find them to be consistent with the Standard Model expectations, and set upper limits at 90% C.L. on the decay amplitude ratios and . For a single ratio of wrong-flavor to favored amplitudes for and…
