Measurement of the Branching Fraction of J/psi --> pi+ pi- pi0
J. Z. Bai, et al, (BES Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports a precise measurement of the branching fraction of J/psi decaying into three pions, using a large dataset from the BESII experiment, resulting in a value higher than previous estimates.
Contribution
The study provides the first high-precision measurement of the J/psi --> pi+ pi- pi0 branching fraction with a significantly improved value.
Findings
Branching fraction measured as (2.10±0.12)×10^{-2}
Result significantly higher than previous measurements
Uses 58 million J/psi and 14 million psi' decays
Abstract
Using 58 million J/psi and 14 million psi' decays obtained by the BESII experiment, the branching fraction of J/psi --> pi+ pi- pi0 is determined. The result is (2.10+/-0.12)X10^{-2}, which is significantly higher than previous measurements.
