Measurements of Six-Body Hadronic Decays of the D^0 Charmed Meson
FOCUS Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports the first measurements of two six-body decay modes of the D^0 meson, providing relative branching ratios and discovering new decay channels using Fermilab data.
Contribution
It presents the first observation and measurement of two specific six-body decay modes of the D^0 meson, including their relative branching ratios.
Findings
First observation of D^0 --> K- pi+ pi+ pi+ pi- pi- decay
First measurement of D^0 --> pi+ pi+ pi+ pi- pi- pi- decay
Branching fraction of the Cabibbo suppressed mode is twice that of the favored one.
Abstract
Using data collected by the FOCUS experiment at Fermilab, we report the discovery of the decay modes D^0 --> K- pi+ pi+ pi+ pi- pi- and D^0 --> pi+ pi+ pi+ pi- pi- pi-. With a sample of 48 +/- 10 reconstructed D^0 --> K- pi+ pi+ pi+ pi- pi- decays and 149 +/- 17 reconstructed D^0 --> pi+ pi+ pi+ pi- pi- pi- decays, we measure the following relative branching ratios: The first errors are statistical and the second are systematic. The branching fraction of the Cabibbo…
