TL;DR
This paper reviews recent experimental results on the Tau lepton, including precise lifetime measurements and new decay branching ratios, confirming Standard Model predictions and testing lepton universality at a high precision.
Contribution
It provides an updated summary of experimental measurements on Tau lepton properties, with improved precision and new decay data, supporting Standard Model consistency.
Findings
Tau lifetime measured with 0.2% precision
Branching ratios for hadronic decays improved
Results consistent with Standard Model
Abstract
This is a review of new results on the Tau lepton. The lifetime has been measured with improved precision, allowing the test of lepton universality to 0.2% level. There are several new measurements of the branching ratios for the hadronic decays, including much improved measurements for the Cabibbo-suppressed decays. All results are consistent with the Standard Model expectations.
