Beauty Quark Production in Deep Inelastic Scattering at HERA
V.Chiochia

TL;DR
This paper reports on the measurement of beauty quark production cross sections in deep inelastic scattering at HERA, comparing experimental results with NLO QCD predictions.
Contribution
It provides the first measurement of beauty quark production cross sections in the specified kinematic range at HERA, testing QCD predictions.
Findings
Measured cross section is slightly above NLO QCD predictions.
Results are consistent with theoretical uncertainties.
Provides data for refining QCD models.
Abstract
The measurement of the beauty quark production cross section in deep inelastic scattering with the ZEUS detector at HERA is presented. The cross section for beauty quarks, measured in the kinematic range GeV and , and for events with at least one muon and one jet in the Breit frame, is somewhat above the next-to-leading order (NLO) QCD prediction, but in agreement within the experimental and theoretical uncertainties.
