Study of time-dependent CP-violation in $B^0 \to J/\psi ~\pi^0$ decay
K. Abe, et al., the Belle Collaboration

TL;DR
This paper measures CP asymmetry parameters in B meson decays to J/psi pi0, providing insights into CP violation in the b to c cbar d transition using data from the Belle experiment.
Contribution
It presents the first measurement of CP violation parameters in B0 to J/psi pi0 decays using a large data sample from Belle, advancing understanding of CP violation in this decay mode.
Findings
CP violation parameter S(J/psi pi0) = -0.72 ± 0.42 (stat) ± 0.08 (syst)
CP violation parameter A(J/psi pi0) = -0.01 ± 0.29 (stat) ± 0.07 (syst)
Results are consistent with Standard Model expectations.
Abstract
We report a measurement of CP asymmetry parameters in the -transition-induced decays . The analysis is based on a 140 fb data sample accumulated at the resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider. We fully reconstruct one neutral meson in the final state. The accompanying meson flavor is identified by its decay products. From the distribution of proper time intervals between the two B decays, we obtain the following CP violation parameters: S(J/\psi \pi^0)= -0.72 \pm0.42 (stat) \pm 0.08(syst) A(J/\psi \pi^0)= -0.01 \pm0.29 (stat) \pm 0.07(syst).
