Evidence for the Rare Decay B -> J/psi eta K
The BABAR Collaboration, B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This paper presents evidence for rare B meson decays into J/psi, eta, and K mesons, with measured branching fractions indicating these decay modes occur at a rate of about 10^-4.
Contribution
First evidence for the specific decay modes B±→J/psi η K± and B0→J/psi η K0_S with measured branching fractions.
Findings
Branching fraction for B± decay: (10.8±2.3±2.4)×10^-5
Branching fraction for B0 decay: (8.4±2.6±2.7)×10^-5
Evidence supports these decay channels as rare B meson processes.
Abstract
We report evidence for the meson decays, and , using {90} million events collected at the resonance with the \babar detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy storage ring. We obtain preliminary branching fractions in the charged and neutral channels of and , respectively.
