Status report on the NEMO3 experiment
Anne-Isabelle Etienvre

TL;DR
The NEMO3 experiment, located underground, aims to detect neutrinoless double beta decay with high sensitivity, and this report discusses its detector performance, background levels, and initial results.
Contribution
This paper provides the first performance evaluation and preliminary results of the NEMO3 detector in searching for neutrinoless double beta decay.
Findings
Detector performance metrics are presented.
Background levels are characterized.
Initial double beta decay signals are observed.
Abstract
The NEMO3 detector, now operating in the Frejus Underground Laboratory, is devoted to search for neutrinoless double beta decay; the expected sensitivity for the effective neutrino mass is on the order of 0.1 eV. The performances of the tracking detector are presented. The first and very preliminary results concerning the background and the double beta signal are given.
