Measurements of Proton Structure Functions, alpha_s and Parton Distribution Functions at HERA
Nicole Werner (University of Zurich)

TL;DR
This paper presents measurements of proton structure functions, alpha_s, and parton distribution functions at HERA, comparing data with NLO QCD predictions and extracting key parameters through dedicated analyses.
Contribution
It provides new measurements and NLO QCD analyses of proton structure functions, alpha_s, and parton distributions at a wide range of Q^2 and Bjorken x.
Findings
Proton structure functions measured over Q^2 from 1 to 30000 GeV^2.
Extraction of the strong coupling constant alpha_s.
Determination of proton parton distribution functions.
Abstract
The measurement and QCD analysis of neutral and charged current cross sections at HERA are presented. For the kinematic range of four-momentum transfer Q^2 between approx. 1 GeV^2 and 30000 GeV^2 and Bjorken x between 0.0013 and 0.65 the data are compared to NLO QCD predictions. In dedicated NLO QCD analyses the extraction of the parton distribution functions of the proton is performed. Results for the measurement of the strong coupling constant alpha_s are presented.
