Measurements of $\Xi_c^{+}$ Branching Ratios
FOCUS collaboration, J. M. Link, et al

TL;DR
This paper measures various branching ratios of the $\Xi_c^{+} ext{ charm baryon, reports the first observation of a suppressed decay mode, and sets upper limits on several other decay channels, advancing understanding of charm baryon decays.
Contribution
It provides the first observation of the Cabibbo suppressed decay $\Xi_c^{+} o \Sigma^{+}K^{+}K^{-}$ and measures multiple branching ratios, including new upper limits, using Fermilab FOCUS data.
Findings
Measured branching ratios for several $\Xi_c^{+}$ decays.
First observation of the $\Xi_c^{+} o \Sigma^{+}K^{+}K^{-}$ decay.
Set upper limits for multiple decay channels.
Abstract
Using data collected by the fixed target Fermilab experiment FOCUS, we measure the branching ratios of the Cabibbo favored decays , , and relative to to be , , and , respectively. We report the first observation of the Cabibbo suppressed decay and we measure the branching ratio relative to to be . We also set 90% confidence level upper limits for and relative to to be 0.12 and 0.05, respectively. We find an indication of the decays and …
