Observation of the Decay $B^{\pm} \to \pi^{\pm}\pi^{0}$, Study of $B^{\pm} \to K^{\pm}\pi^{0}$, and Search for $B^{0} \to \pi^{0}\pi^{0}$
The BABAR Collaboration: B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of branching fractions and charge asymmetries for specific B meson decays, including a significant observation of $B^{ ightarrow} o \pi^{ ightarrow}\pi^{0}$, using data from the BABAR experiment.
Contribution
First measurement of the branching fraction and charge asymmetry for $B^{ ightarrow} o \pi^{ ightarrow}\pi^{0}$ and $B^{ ightarrow} o K^{ ightarrow}\pi^{0}$, and the first upper limit for $B^{0} o \pi^{0}\pi^{0}$.
Findings
Measured ${ m BR}(B^{ ightarrow} o \pi^{ ightarrow}\pi^{0})$ as approximately $5.5 imes 10^{-6}$.
Measured ${ m BR}(B^{ ightarrow} o K^{ ightarrow}\pi^{0})$ as approximately $12.8 imes 10^{-6}$.
Placed an upper limit of $3.6 imes 10^{-6}$ on ${ m BR}(B^{0} o \pi^{0}\pi^{0})$.
Abstract
We present results for the branching fractions and charge asymmetries in (where ) and a search for the decay using a sample of approximately 88 million pairs collected by the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy Factory at SLAC. We measure , where the first error is statistical and the second is systematic. The signal has a significance of including systematic uncertainties. We simultaneously measure the branching fraction to be . The charge asymmetries are and ${\cal…
