K. M. Ecklund

TL;DR
This paper reports on measurements of the CKM matrix elements |Vub| and |Vcb| from CLEO, utilizing innovative techniques including the b -> s gamma spectrum to improve precision in semileptonic B decay analysis.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach using the b -> s gamma photon spectrum to better constrain non-perturbative effects in semileptonic B decay measurements.
Findings
Improved precision in |Vub| and |Vcb| measurements.
Use of b -> s gamma spectrum to reduce theoretical uncertainties.
Enhanced understanding of non-perturbative effects in B decays.
Abstract
I report results from the CLEO collaboration on semileptonic B decays, highlighting measurements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements |Vub| and |Vcb|. I describe the techniques used to obtain the recent improvements in precision for these measurements, notably the use of the b -> s gamma photon spectrum to constrain non-perturbative hadronic effects in semileptonic B decays.
