TL;DR
This paper evaluates the potential of Beta Beams and their combination with Super Beams for neutrino physics, showing they can achieve CP violation sensitivity comparable to Neutrino Factories for certain parameters.
Contribution
It quantifies the physics reach of CERN-based Beta Beams and their combination with Super Beams, highlighting their competitive sensitivity to CP violation.
Findings
Beta Beams can produce pure (anti)electron neutrino beams.
CP phase sensitivity is comparable to Neutrino Factories for $ ext{sin}^2{ heta_{13}} > 10^{-4}$.
The combination of Beta Beams with Super Beams enhances physics reach.
Abstract
Beta Beams are designed to produce pure (anti)electron neutrino beams and could be an elegant and powerful option for the search of leptonic CP violating processes. In this paper will be quantified the physics reach of a CERN based Beta Beam and of a Super Beam - Beta Beam combination. The CP phase sensitivity results to be comparable to a Neutrino Factory for values greater than .
