High $p_T$ hadrons in Au+Au collisions at RHIC
K. Filimonov

TL;DR
This paper discusses measurements of high transverse momentum hadrons in Au+Au collisions at RHIC, revealing significant medium effects on hadron production at high energies, which are crucial for understanding nuclear matter under extreme conditions.
Contribution
It provides experimental evidence of medium effects on high pT hadron production in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions at RHIC energies.
Findings
Strong medium effects observed on high pT hadron production.
Evidence supports the presence of a dense, strongly interacting medium.
Results extend into the perturbative regime of QCD.
Abstract
High pT hadrons produced in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions at RHIC probe nuclear matter at extreme conditions of high energy density. Experimental measurements in Au+Au collisions at \sqrtsNN=130, 200 GeV establish the existence of strong medium effects on hadron production well into the perturbative regime.
