Stefano Bianco (for the FOCUS, E687 Collaborations P.L.Frabetti, et, al.)

TL;DR
This paper reports on new experimental results from FOCUS and E687, confirming a resonance at 1750 MeV/c^2 in kaon pairs and observing a dip at 1.9 GeV/c^2 in 3π+3π− production, advancing light quark spectroscopy.
Contribution
It provides high-statistics confirmation of a resonance at 1750 MeV/c^2 and identifies a new dip structure at 1.9 GeV/c^2 in diffractive photoproduction data.
Findings
Confirmation of a resonance at 1750 MeV/c^2 in K+K−
Observation of a dip at 1.9 GeV/c^2 in 3π+3π− production
Nearly 100 times more data than previous experiments
Abstract
Using the FOCUS spectrometer (experiments 687 and 831 at Fermilab) we confirm the existence of a diffractively photoproduced enhancement in at 1750 \mevcc with nearly 100 times the statistics of previous experiments. We also observe a narrow dip structure at 1.9 GeV/c in a study of diffractive photoproduction of the final state.
