The BABAR Collaboration, B. Aubert, et al

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of branching ratios and CP asymmetries in B- decays to D0 and K-, using data from the BABAR experiment, providing insights into CP violation and decay dynamics.
Contribution
First measurement of the ratio of branching fractions and CP asymmetry in B- -> D0(CP) K- decays using BABAR data from 2000-2002.
Findings
Branching ratio R = (8.31 ± 0.35 (stat) ± 0.20 (syst))%.
CP asymmetry A(CP) = (0.17 ± 0.23 (stat) +0.09 -0.07 (syst)).
Results contribute to understanding CP violation in B decays.
Abstract
We present preliminary results of the analysis of B -> D0 h decays, with h = pi, K and the D0 reconstructed in the channels K- pi+, K- pi+ pi+ pi-, K- pi+ pi0 and in the CP eigenstate K-K+, using data collected by the BABAR detector during the years 2000-2002 at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC. We have measured the ratio of the branching fractions R = Br(B- -> D0 K-) / Br(B- -> D0 pi-) = (8.31 +- 0.35 (stat) +- 0.20 (syst))% and the direct CP asymmetry A(CP) = (Br(B- -> D0(CP) K-) - Br(B+ -> D0(CP) K+)) / (Br(B- -> D0(CP) K-)+Br(B+ -> D0(CP) K+)) = 0.17 +- 0.23 (stat) +0.09 -0.07 (syst).
