Howard S. Budd (Department of Physics, Astronomy University of, Rochester, Rochester, NY)

TL;DR
This paper details the design, production, and testing results of the CMS central hadron calorimeter and its modules from 1995-1996, including quality control and testbeam data.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive description of the CMS central hadron calorimeter's construction, testing procedures, and initial performance results.
Findings
Successful production of the 1996 CMS hadron testbeam module
Quality control tests confirmed module reliability
Initial testbeam results demonstrated detector performance
Abstract
We present a description of the CMS central hadron calorimeter. We describe the production of the 1996 CMS hadron testbeam module. We show the results of the quality control tests of the testbeam module. We present some results of the 1995 CMS hadron testbeam.
