Heavy Quark Production at HERA
Andreas B. Meyer

TL;DR
This paper reviews recent measurements of heavy quark production at HERA, including charm and bottom quarks, comparing results with theoretical models and extracting the charm structure function.
Contribution
It provides new experimental data on charm and bottom production at HERA and compares these with theoretical predictions, including a new measurement of the b-bbar cross section.
Findings
Charm production measured for Q^2 < 1000 GeV^2 and photoproduction limit.
Charm structure function f2cc(x,Q^2) extracted from data.
New b-bbar cross section measurement using b-lifetime tagging.
Abstract
Recent results on heavy flavor production at HERA are presented. New measurements of charm production are available in the region of 1000 GeV for and in the photoproduction limit, , for . The results are compared to theoretical calculations and the charm proton structure function \f2cc is extracted. A new independent measurement of the cross section using a -lifetime tag is reported.
