Physics results from BABAR and prospects
M.-H. Schune (for the BABAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
The BABAR experiment has recently collected data leading to measurements of B meson properties and decay branching ratios, providing new insights into B physics with preliminary results and future prospects.
Contribution
This paper presents the first measurements of B meson lifetimes, mixing frequency, mistag fractions, and specific decay branching ratios from BABAR data, with future outlooks.
Findings
Measured B meson lifetimes and mixing parameters.
Determined B decay branching ratios involving D_s^(*) states.
Provided preliminary results with future experimental prospects.
Abstract
The BABAR experiment has been taking data since about one year. Physics results, complementary to those described by G.Sciolla elsewhere in these Proceedings, are presented: various measurements of the neutral and charged B mesons lifetimes, the B^0 mixing frequency, the mistag fractions, and the B --> D_s^(*) X and B^0 --> D_s^(*)+ D^* branching ratios. Some prospects for the close future are shown. All the numbers given here are preliminary.
