Jet energy scale setting with "photon+Jet" events at LHC energies. Minijets and cluster suppression and photon Pt - jet Pt disbalance
D.V. Bandourin, V.F. Konoplianikov, N.B. Skachkov

TL;DR
This paper investigates using 'photon+Jet' events at LHC to calibrate jet energy scales, identifying sources of Pt disbalance and proposing cluster Pt limitation as a criterion for improvement.
Contribution
It extends previous studies by analyzing cluster suppression and disbalance sources, proposing a new criterion for jet energy calibration at LHC.
Findings
Cluster Pt limitation reduces Pt disbalance.
Photon+Jet events can calibrate jet energy scale.
Sources of Pt disbalance are identified.
Abstract
In this paper the study of "photon+Jet" events is continued and the event number determination useful for jet energy scale setting with the possible CMS detector hadron calorimeter calibration at LHC is fulfiled. The sources of photon Pt and jet Pt disbalance are exposed. It is shown that the cluster Pt limitation, which is found in an event outside of the jet, can be a good criterion for this disbalance decreasing.
