The Belle Silicon Vertex Detector
Hiroaki Aihara (University of Tokyo)

TL;DR
The paper describes the design, initial performance, and upgrade plans for the Belle experiment's silicon vertex detector, which is crucial for analyzing B meson decays at KEKB.
Contribution
It presents the construction, initial performance results, and future upgrade plans of the silicon vertex detector for the Belle experiment.
Findings
Successful initial data collection demonstrating detector performance
Identification of areas for future upgrade improvements
Enhanced vertex resolution for B meson decay analysis
Abstract
The silicon vertex detector of the Belle experiment has been built to provide the vertex information of meson decays at the KEKB accelerator. Performance during the initial data taking period and a brief description of the upgrade plan are also presented.
