Preliminary BABAR results on B0 mixing with dileptons and on lifetime with partially reconstructed B0 decays
Christophe Yeche (for the BABAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports preliminary measurements of B0 meson mixing and lifetime using data from the BABAR experiment, employing dilepton events and partially reconstructed decays to improve understanding of B0 properties.
Contribution
First measurements of B0 mixing parameter Delta(m_d) and B0 lifetime using dilepton and partial reconstruction methods at BABAR.
Findings
Delta(m_d) = (0.507 +/- 0.015 +/- 0.022) x 10^{12} hbar s^{-1}
Tau(B^0) from B^0-->D^{*-} pi^+ = 1.55 +/- 0.05 +/- 0.07 ps
Tau(B^0) from B^0-->D^{*-} l^+ nu_l = 1.62 +/- 0.02 +/- 0.09 ps
Abstract
With an integrated luminosity of 7.7 fb-1 collected on resonance by BABAR at the PEP-II asymmetric B Factory, we measure the difference in mass between the neutral B eigenstates, Delta(m_d), to be (0.507+/-0.015+/-0.022)x 10^{12} hbar s^{-1} with dileptons events and present preliminary results for the B^0 lifetime, tau(B^0) = 1.55+/-0.05+/-0.07 ps and tau(B^0) = 1.62+/-0.02+/-0.09 ps obtained from partial reconstruction of the two B^0 decay processes respectively B^0-->D^{*-}pi^+ and B^0-->D^{*-} l^+ nu_l.
