Measurement of $\psi(2S)$ decays to baryon pairs
J. Z. Bai, et al. (BES Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper reports measurements of $ ext{psi}(2S)$ decays into various baryon pairs using BES data, comparing results with theoretical predictions from SU(3) symmetry, factorization, and perturbative QCD.
Contribution
First comprehensive measurement of $ ext{psi}(2S)$ decays to multiple baryon pairs, providing data to test QCD and flavor symmetry models.
Findings
Branching fractions for multiple baryon pairs measured.
Results generally agree with SU(3) symmetry and QCD predictions.
Data constrains theoretical models of charmonium decays.
Abstract
A sample of 3.95M decays registered in the BES detector are used to study final states containing pairs of octet and decuplet baryons. We report branching fractions for , , , , , , , and . These results are compared to expectations based on the SU(3)-flavor symmetry, factorization, and perturbative QCD.
