TL;DR
This paper describes the development of a high energy physics research group at the Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi, highlighting its origins and historical context.
Contribution
It provides a historical account of the formation and growth of a physics research group influenced by Leon Lederman's early efforts.
Findings
Established a new high energy physics group in Mexico.
Documented the influence of Leon Lederman on the group's formation.
Contributed to understanding the development of physics research in the region.
Abstract
A summary of the path which lead to a high energy physics group at Instituto de Fisica de la Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi is presented. This group is the result of the initial push made by Leon Lederman at the beginning of the 80's.
